"So, Little Ruinling," Staphylus says, ignoring the bodies at his feet. "You don't want to stay here?"
SOMEDAY
BUT NOT THIS DAY
Staphylus nods. "I will... assist you in your search for your creator," he says. His reasons are two-fold. One: He actually likes the little Ruin-beast. Even if it is wildly murderous, it's still, somehow... endearing?
He doesn't want it to be disappointed, if it's 'Creator' isn't up to its standards. Given the fact that she hasn't gone looking for it, Staphylus feels some concern for Ruinling.
And two: there's no way he can let this thing wander off without some sort of supervision.
I APPRECIATE THIS, HUNTER
PERHAPS THE CREATOR WILL FAVOR YOU AS WELL
"Perhaps," Staphylus murmurs. He glances around Zaroff Manor, and then looks up. "Charlotte. If you're still in control of the Nightmare... have fun with your third empty mansion?"
Staphylus strides out of the manor, and Ruinling follows after him, excited as a puppy about to go on a walk.
"And Oneiromancers," Staphylus says to the air, quietly. "...Good job, with everything."
With Ruinling trailing behind him, Staphylus heads off.
